Established by Janette Hynes MBE ex-professional footballer (UEFA B Coach) and Consultant Occupational Therapist. Janette combines her football coaching skills with a health and wellbeing approach, with one-to-one personal lifestyle coaching plans for each of the members.

Our philosophy embraces the social benefits and health and wellbeing. We welcome people of mixed abilities, 18-70+ years male and females, some may never have kicked a ball but want to improve their fitness and have fun with other like-minded people. Some, now in their formative years, who enjoyed playing in their early days and feel they missed being part of a team and want to keep active.

This activity played on a non-contact basis in line with the interpretation of the Walking Football Association Rules, with whom we are aligned. At first, it takes a little getting used to, but once those natural instincts to charge around or run into open spaces are curbed, it can be really competitive, great fun and most importantly, immensely beneficial for your health and mental well-being.

Stokesley Walking Football Club - Margaret's Story. Margaret explains how attending Stokesley Walking Football Club's training sessions, benefit her personally living with a Parkinson's diagnosis.

Stokesley Walking Football Club has been asked to come and play some friendly games to support North East Parkies United at the Beacon Of Light in Sunderland, to prepare their game plans for their upcoming first tournament held at St George’s Park, for a national Parkinson’s walking football competition, held over the easter bank-holiday weekend.

Not only were the few training sessions a great success but with Janette our professional coach, devised a warm up and helped with team tactics with Northeast Parkies United team.
